Epson SP R230 printer have print CD and DVD facilities, with a tray that has been provided we can print a CD or DVD Cover directly into the printer.

That's a brief explanation of the specifications and advantages of the Epson Stylus Photo R230 printer. But this time I will share to all readers of Indications of Error on Epson Stylus Photo R230 Printer. There is some error is indicated by the LED panel printer.

Indications of the following error on Epson Stylus Photo R230 printer and how to solve it :
  1. When the printer is turned on, both the ink and the power led lights up. These indications show that there is a cartridge runs out. To find out where the ink is low, can be viewed in the status monitor on the printer driver properties.
  2. When the printer is turned on, the lights flash alternately power and ink. These indications show that the waste ink counter is full. To resolve this problem, the printer must be reset by software adjusment. (Note: When the printer is turned on, there is no movement of the carriage).
  3. When the printer is turned on, then there is movement on the carriage unit after a while the carriage stopped at the position of require the ink, and paper and ink LED flashes in unison. If the R230 printer in an error condition such as this, it indicates that there is damage in BAD (Board Assy Detector). BAD damage caused spilled ink, because the sensor is located below the print head carriage as a paper detection sensor.
  4. Printer error indication such as condition 3, but after a while the printer carriage moves to initialize and then the carriage stopped at the right position. If the printer is indicated like this, then the cause of damage is on the printhead.
  5. When the printer is turned on, the lights flash alternately power and ink. Different from the condition 2, which is blinking faster. This error is caused the sensor front cover (cover CD) is not active. Close the cover, so that the sensor is detected, if the cover is closed then the error has not appeared.
