A week ago I found a problem on Laptop Toshiba Satellite M200, a blank display screen at the Laptop is turned on. My prediction is that the damage was due to the motherboard, because I get the information from several sources from the internet forums that discuss about Laptop for TOSHIBA Satellite A200 series, M200 series, L300 series and Satellite Pro M200 series has a lot of problems on the motherboard.

But I try to check the hard drive, it might have bad sectors on the disk. Because I have ever met for a bad sectors on hard drive , some characteristics are Laptop/Desktop hangs, slow loading and can not log into windows OS. I used HD Tune tool to check the condition of the hard drive, because the HD Tune application comes with some menus. Benchmark : menu to measure the performance of the hard drive. Info : to display more detailed information from the hard drive. Health : to check the health status of hard drives by utilizing the features of SMART. Error Scan : to check the presence or absence of errors or bad sectors by performing scan disk. HD Tune applications can be downloaded on the official website hdtune.

Yes, there is an error or bad sector on the disk at the time of the scan disk. How to fix bad sectors on hard drive? I use the HDD Low Level Format Tool.

Low Level Format is a tool that serves to permanently delete all data, partitions and bad sector information contained in the hard drive. After you run the application Low level format, the hard drive will net a total of like when you use this hard drive first.

Due to its function as above, then my first backup all existing data on the hard drive before running the application Low Level Format. For more information about Low Level Format you can visit the official website at hddguru.

After doing a Low Level Format the hard drive, I did a scan error on a hard drive with HD Tune again to ensure the persistence of bad sectors. And it worked, the hard drive is safe and no bad sectors. Immediately, I did install Windows and the laptop can be used.
