On this opportunity Sefendi Blog will discuss about the file explorer for Windows that is Total Commander. What is a Total Commander? Total Commander is an excellent file explorer for Windows. It has advanced functions. Total Commander can handle archives as if they were subdirectories. It also has an internal ZIP-compatible packer. The search function allows you to search for files inside archives, even for text.

Why do I share and write in my blog about Total Commander, because this tool is very useful for me to work in the office. I often use is a facility for data backup, copy and restore data. Actually a lot facilities provided by Total Commander, such features as described on its official website.

As explained on its official web Total Commander has the following features :
  • Two file windows side by side
  • Multiple language support
  • Enhanced search function
  • Compare files (now with editor) / synchronize directories
  • Quick View panel with bitmap display
  • ZIP, ARJ, LZH, RAR, UC2, TAR, GZ, CAB, ACE archive handling + plugins
  • Built-in FTP client with FXP (server to server) and HTTP proxy support
  • Parallel port link, multi-rename tool
  • Tabbed interface, regular expressions, history + favorites buttons
  • Thumbnails view, custom columns, enhanced search
  • Compare editor, cursor in lister, separate trees, logging, enhanced overwrite dialog, and more

Of some of the features of Total Commander application, one of which is moving or deleting files. I often use this application to backup data on the hard drive to another hard drive. If I'm going to reinstall Windows, I would backup the existing data on the hard drive first. By using this tool as a file copy error is minimal and its use is very easy. It is very easy because there are two file windows side by side, we just move the files to be copied by drag the file.

Usually when we copy all the files on the hard drive on a normal windows explorer, the files in my document can not be copied. And if the copying process is canceled, then the process will stop and fail. However with Total Commander problem could be overcome.

Other advantages of the Total Commander is a file Copy in computer networks is also available, and the pace could be doubled compared to copying the file to the normal windows explorer. For those of you who are struggling in the computer field, Total Commander is so petrified of your work process.
